Medicare Medication and Prescription Drugs Coverage

About nine in 10 U.S. adults over 65 take prescription drugs, but these medications are generally not covered by Original Medicare (Parts A and B). To get help with the costs of most prescriptions, you need either a Medicare Part D plan or a Medicare Advantage prescription drug plan from a private insurance carrier.
