GoHealth, the nation’s leading private health insurance exchange, is collaborating with Union Plus and Working America to raise awareness about the new accessibility of health insurance for workers who lack health insurance benefits from their employer.
Representatives of Working America and Union Plus will be on site to share information about the Affordable Care Act and the Working America Health Care enrollment platform, which is backed by GoHealth’s technology and licensed insurance advisors. The enrollment platform provides access to a broad variety of health insurance options, easy-to-use shopping tools, and free plan recommendations from licensed advisors.
The event is geared toward independent contractors, part-time workers, low-wage workers and others in the Tri-State area who do not receive health insurance from their employer. Representatives of several labor unions such as the American Federation of Musicians, New York Central Labor Council (CLC), Writers Guild of America-East, and National Writers Union will be in attendance.
